About the event
WE NEED A PLACE TO CALL HOME THE GIRLS AND THEIR KIDS, GROW OUR OWN FOOD AND OUR KIDS TO PLAY ON.
I currently partner with the locals in Kenya, East Africa to fundraise, kickstart and run rescue homes for vulnerable teenage girls and their sons and daughters exposed to harm, harsh or/and sometimes dangerous living situations.
Wings of hope rescue home kenya registered as a community based organization (CBO), was founded in November 2016 by Liuba Muteshi, Irwin Esukuri and Abby M. Campbell. Since inception, the home has been approached by a staggering number of about 50 teenagers needing, shelter, clothing, medical care and safe home among other needs.
Unfortunately wings has only been able to accept the most severe cases numbering 16 teenage girls and their kids due to lack of resources and space to house them, leaving more than half of the already known needy cases with no assistance. THAT IS WHERE YOU AND I COME IN. We are expanding and we need your help to make it happen.
We are taking some time to ride across multiple cities and states to raise awareness of the rising numbers of abandoned children worldwide and our chosen approach of SAVE A TEEN MOM SAVE A CHILD.
We assist provide:
A safe home to a pregnant teen, mostly 11 years old to 18 years.
Medical care assistance for the teen moms in the program
Food for both the teen mom and the child after birth
Child care and Day care for the little once
School fees for the teen moms that desire to pursue education after giving birth
Vocational skills training for those with learning difficulties or have no desire to pursue formal education
Counseling for the teen moms (among other needs).
